Interfor orders Lumber Track V8
Production and Supply Chain Management enabled with Lumber Track

VANCOUVER, B.C., Canada, September 12, 2007

Progressive Solutions Inc., is pleased to announce that International Forest Products Limited (Interfor), of Vancouver, British Columbia, has ordered Lumber Track™ V8 in a 60-user, 8 facility implementation that will integrate their business and transactional data at the head office, sales and production facilities in the Pacific Northwest.

The order also includes Tag Track™ bar-code tagging stations and Lumber Track’s new Data Warehouses, which greatly enhance data accessibility and facilitate reporting.

Interfor (www.interfor.com) is one of the Pacific Northwest's largest producers of quality wood products for sale to markets around the world. The company operates sawmills in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, as well as value-added remanufacturing and specialty products facilities. These operations have a combined manufacturing capacity of 1.4 billion board feet.

“Interfor is replacing a variety of legacy systems and setting up a sophisticated production and supply chain management system,” says Russ Maximuik, Progressive Solutions’ Business Development Manager. “The Lumber Track system will integrate all data and the workflow from production, inventory management, shipping & transportation, exporting, sales and order processing to seamlessly tie into their accounting and management reporting systems.”

New Lumber Track V8 boosts productivity & data accessibility
Companies like Interfor are attracted to the new Lumber Track V8 software system because of its data accessibility and productivity tools. While Lumber Track still has the same outstanding integrated, real-time inventory control functionality that earned Lumber Track top standing in the market, its underlying architecture has been modernized to take advantage of new technologies – namely Microsoft Windows and SQL Server.

Modern look and faster performance
Lumber Track’s user interface is now consistent with the appearance and functionality of Microsoft Office and Outlook, so users are immediately productive in the familiar environment.

Intelligent tools such as Dashboards and Instant Messaging help employees be more responsive and stay on top of important tasks, as critical event messages and their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are pushed to their desktops in real-time.

Employees will know the software was designed to help them do their jobs better and faster, giving them more opportunity to add value in their role.

Forecasting, analysis & data interchange enabled
With Microsoft SQL Server, users can take advantage of non-cryptic file names, Progressive Solutions’ data warehousing, and Microsoft and other vendors’ powerful reporting tools to analyze the data and better manage your operations.

Improved data accessibility allows users to manage their business and supply chain in five key ways:
1. Align sales commitments with production forecasting and planning, by integrating production, procurement, inventory and sales data so that production planning is demand-based and sales know what’s available-to-promise.
2. Analyze your operations by exporting to Crystal Reports, and to Excel with a simple right-click.
3. Use Quick Answer Lists to quickly retrieve data from Lumber Track.
4. Use a Customer Service web portal powered by Web Track to expand your sales desk and offer 24/7 order placement and status checks.
5. Engage in EDI with suppliers and customers.
“Progressive Solutions’ philosophy has always been to continually invest in product development so our customers can take advantage of new technologies,” says Len Williams, President & CEO of Progressive Solutions. “For us, the only logical product strategy was to adopt a Microsoft platform to help us cost-effectively keep pace with the plethora of technology development worldwide. Through Microsoft’s standardized user interface, data access and connectivity interfaces, we’re able to tap into new technology and practices with rapid development cycles.”
