Progressive Solutions offers Mobile Stock Management
bisTrack options using Windows Mobile® speed on-the-spot stock management

VANCOUVER, B.C., Canada, November 27, 2007

Progressive Solutions Inc., is pleased to announce two new bisTrack options for Mobile Stock Management: Mobile PO/Stock Verification and Mobile Inventory Count.

Both options run on Windows Mobile® devices and link mobile staff directly to the central bisTrack system. Staff can roam throughout the store or inventory locations carrying lightweight, handheld devices:

 • With Mobile PO/Stock Verification, stock levels, prices and bin
descriptions can be verified, and a PO or new bin label requested
   on-the-spot as required.

 • With Mobile Inventory Count, staff performing physical inventory
count entering counts directly into bisTrack rather than writing
counts on clipboards and re-entering the data into the computer
   system.

“It’s a real time-saver,” says Graham Rigby, bisTrack product manager. “Studies have shown that employees with mobile devices are more productive and make fewer errors. bisTrack users will find that stock management is faster and more accurate, and information is available to users in real-time. Mobile Stock Management reduces the chance of stock outages, pricing errors, and a host of other small mistakes the erode customer satisfaction and profit margins.”

bisTrack’s Mobile applications work with any devices that run Windows Mobile 2003 or Windows Mobile 5.0 operating systems. With over 40 form factors, including smartphones, PDAs, and industrial handheld computers, the Windows Mobile platform ensures that there is a device type uniquely suited for each organization, team, and role. Optional input devices, such as keyboards, touch screens and barcode scanners, are available for many Windows Mobile devices to help access and input the business information needed even when a bisTrack user is away from his/her desk.

“The extensibility of the Microsoft platform is one the main benefits of bisTrack,” continues Graham Rigby. “Mobile applications, like other Microsoft-based applications, are easily integrated with bisTrack using widely available Microsoft technology. We can add new features and capabilities to bisTrack relatively easily, with the added benefit that our users are already familiar with the user interface so that less training is required.”
