RICHMOND, B.C., October 1, 2003
Progressive Solutions Inc. of Richmond, BC, Canada is introducing a North American version of bisTrack™ software for building industry suppliers first popularized and now with a proven track record in the UK. bisTrack will be unveiled at the upcoming NBMDA Annual Convention and NAWLA Traders Market in November.
bisTrack is a comprehensive, Windows-based distribution management software solution. It offers suppliers in the building industry lumber wholesalers and building material distributors and dealers the ability to integrate all aspects of their business, improving efficiencies throughout their operations.
The system’s strength lies in its sales management tools. Len Williams, President and CEO of Progressive Solutions, explains, “The software facilitates everything a distributor needs to do to buy and sell product.”
The software’s powerful feature set supports a wide range of product types, customer types, pricing/discount structures, payment and delivery methods. Its quotation and negotiation tools allow the sales person to view in-house, on-order and WIP stock, customer histories and real-time margin calculations.
An OLAP cube builder, which ships with bisTrack, provides a rich environment for ‘slicing and dicing’ data to analyze sales, margins or other business information. Data is stored in the SQL Server database, and can be retrieved using standard software tools such as Microsoft Excel® and Word® or Crystal Reports®. Accounting information is easily exported to a variety of accounting software packages.
Len Williams sums up the benefits of bisTrack: “Information is at a sales person's fingertips, which means customers are better served and deals are informed business decisions.”
