RICHMOND, B.C., July 30, 2003
Progressive Solutions Inc. of Richmond, BC, Canada announced today that Weyerhaeuser Company of Federal Way, WA has purchased Lumber Track™ business software from Progressive Solutions for 88 facilities in its Wood Products Sector.
Lumber Track will be implemented at the following Weyerhaeuser Wood Products businesses: Softwood Lumber, Engineered Panel, BC Coastal, Southern Plywood, Western Plywood and Veneer, and Northwest Hardwood. The system will have over 1000 users across Canada and the United States.
-image.gif) Weyerhaeuser will use Lumber Track to manage its sales order fulfillment, inventory control, transportation logistics and shipping, as well as forecasting and production processes. In addition, Weyerhaeuser will install Tag Track™ tag printing stations and use Progressive Solutions’ software on their handheld RF (radio frequency) barcode devices, linking to Lumber Track for fully integrated data collection. Lumber Track will be deployed utilizing Oracle and SQL Server technologies, and will interface to Weyerhaeuser’s corporate IT backbone and financial systems.
The implementation of Lumber Track has already commenced and is scheduled to be completed by late 2004.
