The mobile inventory management application allows for the collection of inventory tag numbers and then uploading of the data in a batch format. The upload frequency is determined by the lumberTrack user. Functions include:

- Hardwood end tally

RF (wireless):
Instantaneously transmit inventory tag information between RF (radio frequency) handheld devices and:
- Tag lookup, which returns the details of the Tag including product data, status and use information
- Production Consumption
- Shipping which displays shipment item details to the user and allows them to scan package Tags for:
- Assignment to the item (pick)
- Removal from the item (unpick)
- Substitute the item scanned for the ship item
- Query the pack details
- Unpick an item from a shipment without having to enter the shipment details
