Quick access when you need it
Data warehouses provide fast access to historical transactions. They are constructed using your specific metrics already defined within the lumberTrack application, and managed in a data store separate from the lumberTrack application database.
Data warehouses are created and managed automatically for you using scheduled SQL Integration Services (SIS) tools.
Data cubes can be built from the data warehouse and then used by the reporting tool of your choice for in-depth analysis of inventory, costs, sales, purchasing, and all related detail metrics.
Reporting
lumberTrack is built using the Microsoft SQL Server database technology, so you can choose from any industry standard reporting tool including:
- Microsoft SRS
- Crystal Reports
- Microsoft Excel
- Any tool capable of connecting to Microsoft SQL Server
Whatever tool you choose can be used to access data in either lumberTrack or any of the data warehouses.
From any window in lumberTrack you can format and print the data you are viewing and/or export it directly into Microsoft Excel or onto your clipboard for use with other applications.
Most standard lumberTrack reports and documents are written using Crystal Reports. We provide you with the complete source code for these reports and documents so you can customize them or use them as models for your own reports.
