Brookside Lumber partners with Progressive Solutions for new system

- Brookside Lumber has joined the growing list of customers who have purchased and implemented the bisTrack solution to replace their legacy software. With more than 100 users spread across 4 locations, bisTrack gives Brookside what they need to run their daily operations and make key decisions for ongoing success.

Brookside Lumber is a well-recognized, family owned building material supplier in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Based in Bethel Park, the company was founded by developer PS Edwards more than 80 years ago. Today, the third generation of the Edwards family is actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the company, and many of their current employees have worked at Brookside for more than 20 years—some even 40 years.

With a mandate to provide the best possible customer service and product offerings, Brookside has invested in their people and their facilities through the years, as well as office software technology. However, it soon became apparent that new software would be required to facilitate continued growth and success.

Dave Jones, President of Brookside recalls, “We used to spend a great deal of time digging for data or working around in our old system.”  Brookside needed a better way to fulfill their information needs. They began an extensive evaluation period of available offerings in the marketplace.
