Developer - bisTrack - C# .Net or VB

Description

The bisTrack developer will design, write, develop and troubleshoot software programs for computer based systems ensuring quality software is delivered on time.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in either C# .NET or VB6 development and have experience working successfully on project teams, a strong ability to work under deadlines, and be a team player.  The bisTrack Developer will report to the Development & Customer Support Manager – bisTrack North America
 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education – BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline / Diploma in Computer Information Systems or related discipline
  • Must be proficient in either C# .Net or VB6, and Microsoft SQL Server Transact-SQL
  • Broad-base understanding of Retail/POS business applications an asset

Tasks/Duties 

  • Designs, writes, and completes software programing on assigned tasks.
  • Performs unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure desired functionality has been achieved prior to release of software to quality assurance
  • Assists in the estimation of development effort on tasks assigned
  • Provides effective and pro-active communication by advising immediately of any tasks requiring revised estimates
